A 3-day city trip to Nuremberg and Bamberg for your group: the Imperial Castle, Dürer's House and Bamberg's old town.

A former imperial city, Nuremberg has kept its ramparts, its hilltop castle and the house where Albrecht Dürer lived, as well as the darker traces of the 20th century at the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds. Less than an hour's drive away, Bamberg unfolds an old town listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its Old Town Hall built in the middle of the Regnitz. Two Franconian towns, two atmospheres, brought together in a single trip.

Programme

Day 1 : Journey to Nuremberg

  • Morning departure from the location of your choice.
  • Drive to Franconia, with regular breaks along the way.
  • Arrival in the afternoon and a first walk: Main Market Square, Beautiful Fountain, Church of Our Lady.
  • Check-in at the hotel.
  • Dinner of grilled Nuremberg sausages in a traditional tavern (on request).

Day 2 : Nuremberg, the imperial city

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Guided tour of the old town and the Imperial Castle (on request).
  • Visit to the Albrecht Dürer House (on request).
  • In the afternoon, guided discovery of the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds and their history (on request).
  • Free time to taste Lebkuchen, the city's famous gingerbread.
  • Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 3 : Bamberg and return

  • Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Bamberg.
  • Guided walking tour of the old town: the Old Town Hall on the Regnitz, the 'Little Venice' quarter, the cathedral (on request).
  • Tasting of Rauchbier, Bamberg's speciality smoked beer, for adults (on request).
  • Return journey in the early afternoon.
  • Arrival back in your region in the evening.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
