Day trip to Namur for your group: the citadel, the cable car, the old town and a tasting at the Bioul vineyard.
The capital of Wallonia, Namur lies at the confluence of the Sambre and the Meuse, below one of the largest citadels in Europe. Your group rides up by cable car, can explore its underground passages, then strolls through the old town, between the belfry, St Aubin’s Cathedral and the Place d’Armes. In the afternoon, the Château de Bioul estate shows off its vines, its cellar and its Belgian wines, around a convivial tasting.
Programme
- Morning departure from the place of your choice.
- Arrival in Namur at around 10.00 am.
- Cable car ride up to the citadel and view over the Meuse and the Sambre.
- Guided tour of the citadel’s underground passages (on request).
- Free lunch or reserved group lunch (on request).
- Stroll through the old town: the belfry, St Aubin’s Cathedral, St Loup’s Church.
- Drive to Bioul: visit to the vineyard and cellar, with wine tasting.
- Departure from Bioul at around 5.00 pm and return to your area in the evening.

- Times are adapted to your departure point.
- The cable car and the underground passages are closed for part of the winter: the coach then takes the group up to the citadel.
- It is cool in the underground passages: bring a jacket.
