Day trip to Luxembourg for your group: the rocks of Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland, Echternach and its basilica, Beaufort.
Nicknamed “Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland”, the Mullerthal region surprises with its sandstone rocks, narrow gorges, streams and forests. An easy walk reveals its landscapes. Echternach, considered the oldest town in the country, grew up around the abbey founded by St Willibrord, whose tomb lies in the basilica. In Beaufort, a medieval castle and a Renaissance castle stand side by side; Cassero, a blackcurrant liqueur, is produced there.
Programme
- Morning departure from the place of your choice.
- Arrival in the Mullerthal region at around 10.00 am.
- Easy walk among the rocks and gorges (about 1 hour).
- Drive to Echternach and reserved group lunch (on request).
- Visit to the Basilica of St Willibrord and its crypt.
- Guided walk through the old town and around the abbey (on request).
- Visit to Beaufort Castle and Cassero tasting (on request).
- Departure from the region at around 5.00 pm and return to your area in the evening.
