A 3-day city trip to Mont-Saint-Michel and Saint-Malo for your group: the abbey, a walk across the bay and the corsair city's ramparts.

Set on its rock in a bay with some of the strongest tides in Europe, Mont-Saint-Michel is climbed via the Grande Rue up to the Benedictine abbey and its suspended cloister. With an approved guide, walking across the bay on the sand lets you see it from a completely different angle. A few kilometres away, Saint-Malo, the former corsair city, is best discovered from its ramparts, facing the beaches and fortified islets.

Programme

Day 1 : Journey to the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel

  • Early morning departure from the location of your choice.
  • Long drive to Normandy, with regular breaks.
  • Arrival in the late afternoon and a first view of the Mont from the bay.
  • Check-in at the hotel, between the Mont and Saint-Malo.
  • Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 2 : Mont-Saint-Michel

  • Shuttle bus from the car park to the foot of the Mont.
  • Climb via the Grande Rue and the ramparts up to the abbey.
  • Guided tour of the Abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel (on request).
  • Group lunch at the foot of the Mont (on request).
  • Walk across the bay with an approved guide, depending on the tide times (on request).

Day 3 : Saint-Malo and the journey home

  • Walk along the ramparts of Saint-Malo, with views of the beaches and forts.
  • Guided tour of the walled city (on request).
  • Return journey in the late morning.
  • Arrival back in your region in the evening.

Good to know

  • Early departure on the first day because of the long drive; times are adapted to the departure point chosen by your group.
  • A valid identity card is required for every traveller.
  • The walk across the bay depends on the tides and must be done with an approved guide: bring shorts or trousers that can be rolled up, and a towel.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
