Day trip for your group: Maredsous Abbey, a tasting of its cheeses and beers, and the Molignée rail bikes.
In the heart of the Condroz region near Namur, the Benedictine Abbey of Maredsous overlooks the Molignée valley with its neo-Gothic silhouette. Your group visits the abbey church, then tastes the cheese and beer that bear its name. In the afternoon, a rail bike ride along the old Molignée railway line lets you pedal through unspoilt nature, before a stop in the villages of Maredret and Denée, among craftspeople and old stone houses.
Programme
- Morning departure from the place of your choice.
- Arrival at Maredsous Abbey at around 10.00 am.
- Visit to the abbey church (guided tour on request).
- Tasting of Maredsous cheese and beer.
- Reserved group lunch at the abbey’s visitor centre (on request).
- Rail bike ride along the old Molignée railway line (on request).
- Stroll through the villages of Maredret and Denée.
- Departure at around 5.00 pm and return to your area in the evening.
