A 4-day city trip to Lyon for your group: Vieux-Lyon and its traboules, Fourvière, a meal in a bouchon, the Pierres Dorées villages of the Beaujolais and the medieval town of Pérouges.
At the confluence of the Rhône and the Saône, Lyon has preserved a vast historic centre listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, from Renaissance Vieux-Lyon to Fourvière hill. Its traboules, passageways between buildings, and its bouchons, restaurants serving Lyonnais cuisine, make it a city to experience as much as to visit. To the north, the Beaujolais of the Pierres Dorées lines up its villages of ochre stone, and the medieval town of Pérouges has kept its ramparts and cobbled lanes.
Programme
Day 1 : Journey to Lyon
- Early morning departure from the location of your choice.
- Drive to Lyon, with regular stops along the way.
- Arrival in the late afternoon.
- Check-in at the hotel.
- Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).
Day 2 : Vieux-Lyon and Fourvière
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Climb up to the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière and a view over the city.
- Discovery of the Gallo-Roman theatres.
- Guided tour of Vieux-Lyon and its traboules (on request).
- Lunch in a Lyonnais bouchon (on request).
- In the afternoon, walk on the Presqu'île, from Place Bellecour to Place des Terreaux.
- Return to the hotel at the end of the day.
Day 3 : The Beaujolais of the Pierres Dorées
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to the Beaujolais.
- Walk in Oingt, a village of ochre stone perched above the vineyards.
- Visit to a wine estate and tasting of Beaujolais wines (on request).
- Discovery of other Pierres Dorées villages along the small vineyard roads.
- Group dinner in a Lyonnais restaurant (on request).
Day 4 : Pérouges and return
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to Pérouges.
- Walk through the medieval town and tasting of the Pérouges galette (on request).
- Return journey in the late morning, with regular stops.
- Arrival back in your region in the evening.

- The journey to Lyon is long: departure is early in the morning and arrival in the late afternoon.
