2-day city trip to Kassel for your group: Grimmwelt, Wilhelmshöhe Park, the Hercules statue and Old Masters.
Kassel is the city of the Brothers Grimm, who collected many of their fairy tales here, now brought to life at the Grimmwelt museum. On the heights above the city, Wilhelmshöhe Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, cascades down from the giant statue of Hercules to the palace. Your group also discovers the romantic Löwenburg castle and a fine collection of paintings, including works by Rembrandt.
Programme
Day 1: Kassel, city of the Brothers Grimm
- Morning departure from the location of your choice.
- Drive to Kassel, arriving around midday.
- Visit to the Grimmwelt museum, devoted to the Brothers Grimm and their fairy tales (on request).
- Stroll through Karlsaue Park to the Orangery.
- Check-in at the hotel.
- Group dinner featuring North Hessian specialities (on request).
Day 2: Wilhelmshöhe Park
- Breakfast at the hotel and coach drive up to Wilhelmshöhe Park.
- Guided tour of the park: Hercules monument, cascades, Löwenburg and palace (on request).
- Visit to the Old Masters Picture Gallery in Wilhelmshöhe Palace (on request).
- Water features display, on the days they operate in season.
- Return journey in mid-afternoon.
- Arrival back in your area in the evening.
