Day trip to the Upper Sûre Lake for your group: Esch-sur-Sûre, the dam, the solar-powered boat and the town of Wiltz.
In the heart of the Upper Sûre Nature Park, the village of Esch-sur-Sûre nestles in a loop of the river, at the foot of its castle ruins. Upstream, the dam holds back a vast lake of calm water, surrounded by wooded hills, which you discover aboard a silent solar-powered boat. In the afternoon, Wiltz reveals its castle and upper town. The National Slate Museum in Haut-Martelange or the nature park visitor centre round off the day.
Programme
- Morning departure from the place of your choice.
- Arrival in Esch-sur-Sûre at around 10.00 am, stroll through the village.
- Stop at the dam and view over the lake.
- Solar-powered boat trip on the lake (about 1 hour).
- Reserved group lunch (on request).
- Drive to Wiltz and free time around the castle.
- Visit to the National Slate Museum or the nature park visitor centre (on request).
- Departure from the region at around 5.00 pm and return to your area in the evening.
