2-day city trip to Hanover for your group: the Red Thread trail, New Town Hall, Maschsee lake and Herrenhausen Gardens.

Hanover is best explored by following the Red Thread, a line painted on the pavements linking the main sights of the centre. Your group discovers the New Town Hall with its inclined lift up into the dome, Niki de Saint Phalle’s colourful Nanas and the Maschsee lake. The next day, the royal Herrenhausen Gardens reveal the baroque Great Garden, its great fountain and the grotto decorated by Niki de Saint Phalle.

Programme

Day 1: Hanover along the Red Thread

  • Morning departure from the location of your choice.
  • Drive to Hanover, arriving around midday.
  • Guided tour of the centre following the Red Thread: old town, Market Church and Niki de Saint Phalle’s Nanas on the banks of the Leine (on request).
  • Visit to the New Town Hall and ride in the inclined lift up into the dome (on request).
  • Stroll along the Maschsee.
  • Check-in at the hotel.
  • Group dinner featuring Lower Saxon specialities (on request).

Day 2: The royal Herrenhausen Gardens

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Guided tour of the Herrenhausen Gardens: the baroque Great Garden, the great fountain, Niki de Saint Phalle’s grotto and the Berggarten (on request).
  • Visit to the Herrenhausen Palace Museum (on request).
  • Return journey in early afternoon.
  • Arrival back in your area in the evening.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
