Day trip to Giethoorn for your group: boat trip on the canals, thatched-roof houses and wooden bridges.
Nicknamed the “Venice of the North”, Giethoorn is a village without roads, where people get around on foot, by bike or by boat. Its thatched farmhouses, well-kept gardens and dozens of small wooden bridges line peaceful canals. A trip aboard a silent electric boat, known as a “whisper boat”, lets you discover the village from the water. A calm day that feels a world away, in the heart of a lake district.
Programme
- Early morning departure from the place of your choice.
- Arrival in Giethoorn at around 10.30 am.
- Walk along the canals and the thatched-roof houses.
- Free lunch or reserved group lunch (on request).
- Boat trip on the canals and lakes (about 1 hour).
- Visit to the ’t Olde Maat Uus farm museum (on request).
- Free time in the village.
- Departure from Giethoorn at around 4.30 pm and return to your area in the evening.
