Day 3 : Bilbao and Santander

• Drive to Bilbao.
• Visit to Frank Gehry's Guggenheim Museum (on request).
• Stroll through the Casco Viejo and its "seven streets".
• Drive to Santander and stroll on the Magdalena peninsula.
• Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 4 : Santillana del Mar and Potes

• Discovery of Santillana del Mar, a medieval stone village, and its collegiate church.
• Visit to the Altamira Museum and the replica of the decorated cave (on request).
• Drive to the Liébana valley, at the foot of the Picos de Europa.
• Check-in at the hotel in Potes.
• Group dinner with cocido lebaniego, the valley's speciality (on request).

Day 5 : The Picos de Europa and Cangas de Onís

• Cable car ride from Fuente Dé up to the viewpoint, at more than 1,800 metres (on request).
• Stop at the Monastery of Santo Toribio de Liébana.
• Drive through the Desfiladero de la Hermida gorge to Asturias.
• Check-in at the hotel in Cangas de Onís, near its medieval bridge.

Day 6 : Covadonga and Oviedo

• Visit to the sanctuary of Covadonga: the Santa Cueva and the basilica.

• Stroll through the old town and the Mercado de Abastos.
• Group dinner with Galician specialities (on request).

Day 8 : Journey to Burgos

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive through Galicia, León and Castile, with regular breaks.
• Arrival in Burgos in the late afternoon and walk to the Gothic cathedral.

Day 9 : Journey to Poitiers

• Visit to Burgos Cathedral, where El Cid is buried (on request).
• Drive via the Basque Country and Bordeaux, with regular breaks.
