Day trip to Düsseldorf for your group: the old town, the Königsallee, the Medienhafen and an Altbier in a traditional brewery tavern.
Düsseldorf, the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, combines tradition and modernity on the banks of the Rhine. Its old town, nicknamed “the longest bar in the world”, has hundreds of cafés and brewery taverns serving Altbier, the local amber beer. The Königsallee lines up its luxury boutiques along a canal, while the Medienhafen reveals Frank Gehry’s undulating buildings at the foot of the Rhine Tower. A varied city day, less than two hours from Belgium.
Programme
- Morning departure from the place of your choice.
- Arrival in Düsseldorf at around 10.00 am.
- Guided tour of the old town (on request).
- Walk along the Rhine embankment to the Medienhafen and its Frank Gehry buildings.
- Trip up the Rhine Tower, the Rheinturm, for the view over the city (on request).
- Lunch in a traditional brewery tavern with Altbier tasting (on request).
- Free time on the Königsallee for shopping.
- Departure from Düsseldorf at around 5.30 pm and return to your area in the evening.
