Dresden and Saxon Switzerland for groups: Frauenkirche, the Bastei and Meissen porcelain

Day 1 : Journey to Dresden

• Early morning departure from the location of your choice.
• Drive to Saxony, with regular stops along the way.
• Arrival in the late afternoon and check-in at the hotel.
• Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 2 : Dresden, the Florence on the Elbe

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Guided walking tour of the old town: the Frauenkirche, the Zwinger, the Semperoper, the Royal Palace and the Procession of Princes, a porcelain mural around a hundred metres long (on request).
• Visit to the Green Vault, the treasury of the Electors of Saxony (on request).
• Walk along the Brühl Terrace, the “Balcony of Europe”.
• Cruise on the Elbe aboard a historic paddle steamer (on request).
• Group dinner in a Saxon restaurant (on request).

Day 3 : Saxon Switzerland and the Bastei

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Saxon Switzerland, about an hour away.
• Walk to the Bastei Bridge, suspended above the Elbe among the sandstone pinnacles.
• Visit to Königstein Fortress, perched on its rocky plateau (on request).
• Return to Dresden in the late afternoon.
• Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 4 : Meissen and return

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Meissen, about thirty minutes away.
• Visit to the porcelain manufactory and its demonstration workshop (on request).
• Walk through the old town, at the foot of the Albrechtsburg and the cathedral.
• Return journey in the late morning.
• Arrival back in your region in the evening.
