Day trip to the coast for your group: the Ostend promenade, the fish market and the shrimp fishers on horseback.
A day of sea air on the Belgian coast. In Ostend, the “Queen of the Seaside Resorts”, your group strolls along the promenade and the harbour, between the fish market and the café terraces. In Oostduinkerke, the shrimp fishers on horseback keep alive a tradition recognised by UNESCO, presented at the NAVIGO fisheries museum. Shrimp croquettes and the Coast Tram, one of the longest tram lines in the world, round off this trip to the seaside.
Programme
- Early morning departure from the place of your choice.
- Arrival in Ostend at around 10.00 am.
- Walk along the promenade and the harbour, stop at the fish market.
- Reserved group lunch of shrimp croquettes (on request).
- Coast Tram ride between Ostend and Oostduinkerke (on request).
- Visit to the NAVIGO fisheries museum in Oostduinkerke.
- Demonstration by the shrimp fishers on horseback on the beach (on request).
- Departure from Oostduinkerke at around 5.00 pm and return to your area in the evening.
