The Loire châteaux for groups: Chambord, Chenonceau and the Villandry gardens

Day 1 : Journey to Tours

• Early morning departure from the location of your choice.
• Drive to the Loire Valley, with regular stops along the way.
• Arrival in Tours in the afternoon and a first walk through old Tours, around Place Plumereau.
• Check-in at the hotel.
• Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 2 : Chambord and Chenonceau

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Chambord, the largest of the Loire châteaux, built for Francis I.
• Guided tour of the Château de Chambord and its double-helix staircase (on request).
• Lunch in a local inn (on request).
• In the afternoon, visit to the Château de Chenonceau, its gallery over the Cher and its gardens.
• Tasting of Touraine wines in a troglodyte cellar (on request).
• Group dinner in a restaurant in Tours (on request).

Day 3 : Amboise and the Clos Lucé

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Visit to the Royal Château of Amboise and the Chapel of Saint-Hubert, where Leonardo da Vinci is buried.
• Visit to the Château du Clos Lucé and its park, where models of Leonardo's inventions are displayed.
• Free time in the streets of Amboise, at the foot of the château.
• Guided tour of Tours: St Gatien's Cathedral, the cathedral quarter and the banks of the Loire (on request).
• Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 4 : Villandry and return

• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Drive to Villandry and visit to its Renaissance gardens, including the famous ornamental kitchen garden.
• Interior visit of the Château de Villandry (on request).
• Return journey in the late morning, with stops along the way.
• Arrival back in your region in the evening.
