A 4-day city trip to Brittany for your group: Saint-Malo intra-muros, Cancale and its oysters, Cap Fréhel, Dinard and the medieval town of Dinan.
A former corsair city surrounded by ramparts, Saint-Malo looks out to sea from its walled town, rebuilt in granite after the war. Around it, the Emerald Coast strings together Cancale and its oyster beds, the Belle Époque villas of Dinard and the pink sandstone cliffs of Cap Fréhel. Inland, Dinan, on the banks of the Rance, has preserved its ramparts and its half-timbered houses.
Programme
Day 1 : Journey to Saint-Malo
- Early morning departure from the location of your choice.
- Drive to Brittany, with regular stops along the way.
- Arrival in Saint-Malo in the late afternoon.
- Check-in at the hotel.
- Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).
Day 2 : Saint-Malo and Cancale
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Guided tour of Saint-Malo intra-muros: a walk around the ramparts and St Vincent's Cathedral (on request).
- At low tide, walk to Fort National or to the island of Grand Bé, where Chateaubriand is buried.
- In the afternoon, drive to Cancale and the Pointe du Grouin.
- Tasting of Cancale oysters at the harbour (on request).
- Group dinner in a crêperie (on request).
Day 3 : Dinard and Cap Fréhel
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Boat crossing from Saint-Malo to Dinard (on request).
- The Promenade du Clair de Lune and the Belle Époque villas of Dinard.
- Drive to Cap Fréhel, its cliffs and its lighthouse.
- Visit to Fort La Latte (on request).
- Return to the hotel at the end of the day.
Day 4 : Dinan and return
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to Dinan.
- Walk through the old town: the ramparts, the Clock Tower and Rue du Jerzual down to the port on the Rance.
- Return journey in the late morning, with regular stops.
- Arrival back in your region in the evening.
