A 4-day city trip to Bordeaux for your group: Place de la Bourse and the Water Mirror, historic districts, the Cité du Vin and the medieval town of Saint-Émilion.

Bordeaux, the Port of the Moon and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, unfolds along the Garonne one of the finest 18th-century façades, around Place de la Bourse and its Water Mirror. The city has made wine its signature, right up to the Cité du Vin and its decanter-shaped architecture. Some forty kilometres away, Saint-Émilion, a medieval town surrounded by its UNESCO-listed vineyards, has a remarkable church carved into the rock.

Programme

Day 1 : Journey to Bordeaux

  • Very early morning departure from the location of your choice.
  • Drive to south-western France, with regular stops along the way.
  • Arrival in Bordeaux in the late afternoon.
  • Check-in at the hotel.
  • Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).

Day 2 : Bordeaux

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Guided walking tour of the historic centre: Place de la Bourse, the Water Mirror, St Andrew's Cathedral and the Grosse Cloche (on request).
  • Walk along Rue Sainte-Catherine and the quays.
  • In the afternoon, visit to the Cité du Vin (on request).
  • Cruise on the Garonne (on request).
  • Group dinner in a Bordeaux restaurant (on request).

Day 3 : Saint-Émilion

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Drive to Saint-Émilion, about an hour away.
  • Guided tour of the town and the monolithic church (on request).
  • Tasting of Saint-Émilion macarons (on request).
  • Visit to a wine château and tasting (on request).
  • Return to Bordeaux at the end of the day.

Day 4 : Return

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Return journey after breakfast, with regular stops.
  • Arrival back in your region in the evening.

  • The centre of Bordeaux and Saint-Émilion are explored on foot: the coach drops the group off nearby, and the lanes of Saint-Émilion are steep and cobbled.

Cancellation and refund protection

Optional, to be taken when booking: you can cancel without giving a reason and get the base price of the trip back, provided your request reaches us at least 48 hours before departure for a day trip, 7 days before if admission tickets are included, 14 days before for a trip with overnight stays. Price: 7 % of the trip up to €1,000, 5 % from €1,001 to €2,500, 3.5 % above.
