A 5-day city trip to Bavaria for your group: Munich, Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles, Linderhof, Oberammergau and Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
This trip combines the Bavarian capital with the landscapes of the Alps. Your group discovers Munich, Marienplatz, the Residenz and the traditional beer halls, then follows in the footsteps of King Ludwig II: Neuschwanstein, the fairy-tale castle, Hohenschwangau, where he spent his youth, and Linderhof, his elegant palace. Oberammergau and its painted façades, Ettal Abbey and Garmisch-Partenkirchen, at the foot of the Zugspitze, complete this picture of Bavaria.
Programme
Day 1 : Journey to Munich
- Early morning departure from the location of your choice.
- Drive to Bavaria, with regular stops along the way.
- Arrival in the late afternoon and check-in at the hotel in Munich.
- Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).
Day 2 : Munich
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Guided walking tour of the old town: Marienplatz, the New Town Hall and its glockenspiel, the Frauenkirche, the Residenz (on request).
- Free time at the Viktualienmarkt.
- In the afternoon, visit to Nymphenburg Palace (on request).
- Bavarian dinner in a traditional beer hall (on request).
Day 3 : Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to Füssen and Hohenschwangau, about two hours away.
- Guided tour of Neuschwanstein Castle (on request).
- Guided tour of Hohenschwangau Castle (on request).
- Stop at the Wieskirche, a Rococo pilgrimage church and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Check-in at the hotel in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen area.
- Dinner in the hotel restaurant (on request).
Day 4 : Linderhof, Oberammergau and Garmisch
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Visit to Linderhof Palace and its park (on request).
- Stop at the Benedictine abbey of Ettal.
- Walk through Oberammergau, the village of painted façades and woodcarvers, famous for its Passion Play.
- Free time in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
- Ascent of the Zugspitze, Germany's highest peak, by cog railway and cable car (on request).
- Group dinner in a Bavarian inn (on request).
Day 5 : Return
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Return journey in the morning, with regular stops.
- Arrival back in your region in the evening.

Good to know
- Departure and return times are adapted to your group's pick-up point.
- A valid identity card is required for every participant.
- Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau can only be visited on a guided tour, in time slots booked in advance; Neuschwanstein is reached from the car park on foot (about a 30-minute climb) or by shuttle.
- The return journey from the Bavarian Alps is long: arrival in your region is late in the evening.
