• Drive to Bordeaux and the Basque Country, then over the Spanish border.

Day 3 : Journey to Córdoba

• Drive south through Castile and the Despeñaperros gorge.
• Arrival in Córdoba in the late afternoon.
• A first walk along the Guadalquivir and on the Roman bridge.

Day 4 : Córdoba and journey to Granada

• Visit to the Mosque-Cathedral (on request).
• A walk through the Judería and its flower-filled patios.
• Drive to Granada in the early afternoon.
• Discovery of the Albaicín quarter and the Mirador de San Nicolás, facing the Alhambra.
• Check-in at the hotel.

Day 5 : The Alhambra and journey to Seville

• Guided tour of the Alhambra and the Generalife gardens (on request).
• Drive to Seville in the early afternoon.
• Arrival in the late afternoon and a walk to the Plaza de España.

Day 6 : Seville

• Guided tour of the cathedral and the Giralda (on request).
• Visit to the Royal Alcázar and its gardens (on request).

Day 7 : Journey to the Algarve

• Drive to Portugal via Huelva and the bridge over the Guadiana.
• Stop in Tavira, a small white town on the banks of the Gilão.
• Arrival in Lagos and a walk on the cliffs of Ponta da Piedade.
• Boat excursion to the sea caves along the coast (on request).
• Check-in at the hotel in the Algarve.

Day 8 : Sagres and journey to Lisbon

• Drive to Cape St. Vincent and the Fortress of Sagres, at the south-western tip of Europe.
• Drive to Lisbon through the Alentejo.
• Arrival in Belém in the mid-afternoon: Belém Tower, the Monument to the Discoveries and the Jerónimos Monastery (on request).

Day 9 : Lisbon and Sintra

Day 11 : Journey to Poitou
