A 2-day trip to Hamburg for your group: the historic town hall market, the white market on the Jungfernstieg and, on request, a Christmas cruise on the Alster.
During Advent, Hamburg is adorned with numerous Christmas markets, the most famous of which sets up on the town hall square, at the foot of the neo-Renaissance façade; every day, Father Christmas flies over the chalets in his sleigh. On the shores of Lake Alster, the Jungfernstieg market, with its white tents, offers an elegant setting facing the city lights. Your group can board a Christmas cruise on the Alster, with hot punch on board, and discover the Speicherstadt, the UNESCO-listed warehouse district, as well as the Elbphilharmonie Plaza. Mulled wine, gingerbread and northern specialities set the pace of this Hanseatic trip.
Programme
Day 1 : Journey to Hamburg and illuminated markets
- Very early morning departure from the location of your choice.
- Drive to Hamburg, with regular stops.
- Arrival in Hamburg in the early afternoon.
- Check-in at the hotel.
- Christmas cruise on the Alster, with hot punch on board (on request).
- Free time at the town hall market and the Jungfernstieg market.
- Group dinner in a restaurant in the centre (on request).
- Free evening at the illuminated markets.
Day 2 : Speicherstadt, Elbphilharmonie and return
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Guided tour of the Speicherstadt and the port (on request).
- Access to the Elbphilharmonie Plaza, with a view over the port (on request).
- A last visit to the Christmas markets and free lunch.
- Return journey in the late morning, with regular stops.
- Arrival back in your region in the evening.

Good to know
- Hamburg is about 6 hours' drive from Liège: depending on your departure point, a second driver or an overnight stop may be needed to comply with driving time regulations.
- The opening dates of the markets vary from year to year and should be checked; weekends are very busy, so we recommend a weekday trip.
- A valid identity card is required; bring warm clothing and comfortable shoes, and keep to the meeting point and time for the return to the coach.
