Day trip to Bonn and Siegburg for your group: the Christmas market in Beethoven's birthplace, followed by an illuminated medieval market.
The day begins in Bonn, where the Christmas market sets up on the Münsterplatz, at the foot of the minster and the Beethoven statue, and in the neighbouring streets of the old town. Your group can discover the composer's birthplace, on the Bonngasse, before strolling among the chalets. In the afternoon, Siegburg, some twenty minutes away, hosts a medieval Christmas market on its market square, with craftspeople in costume, campfires and period music, below Michaelsberg Abbey. Mulled wine, mead, gingerbread and potato pancakes warm up the evening.
Programme
- Morning departure from the place of your choice.
- Drive to Bonn and arrival in the late morning.
- Guided tour of the old town of Bonn (on request): the Münsterplatz, the old town hall and the university.
- Visit to the Beethoven House, the composer's birthplace (on request).
- Group lunch (on request) or free lunch.
- Free time at the Christmas market on the Münsterplatz.
- Short drive to Siegburg in the mid-afternoon.
- Free time at the medieval Christmas market: craftspeople in costume, campfires, music and specialities of yesteryear.
- Enjoy the torchlit atmosphere at nightfall.
- Departure from Siegburg in the early evening.
- Return to your area in the evening.
