Day trip to Arras for your group: the Grand-Place and the Place des Héros, the UNESCO-listed belfry and the underground boves.
Arras charms visitors with its two baroque squares lined with 155 Flemish-gabled façades, the Grand-Place and the Place des Héros. The belfry, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers a wide view over the town and the Artois region. Beneath the cobbles lies another world: the boves, old chalk quarries dug in the Middle Ages. To complete the day, the Wellington Quarry, where New Zealand soldiers prepared the 1917 Battle of Arras, pays a moving tribute to the Great War.
