Day trip to Amiens for your group: the UNESCO-listed cathedral, the Saint-Leu quarter and a boat trip through the hortillonnages.
Amiens, the capital of Picardy, has the largest Gothic cathedral in France, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. At the foot of the building, the Saint-Leu quarter and its colourful houses line the canals of the Somme. The highlight of the day: a trip in a traditional flat-bottomed boat through the hortillonnages, the floating gardens cultivated for centuries in the heart of the city. Literature lovers can also discover the house of Jules Verne, who lived in Amiens.
Programme
- Early morning departure from the place of your choice.
- Arrival in Amiens at around 10.00 am.
- Visit to Notre-Dame Cathedral (guided tour on request).
- Stroll through the Saint-Leu quarter, along the canals.
- Reserved group lunch (on request).
- Boat trip through the hortillonnages (about 45 minutes).
- Visit to the house of Jules Verne (on request).
- Departure from Amiens at around 5.00 pm and return to your area in the evening.
